Clever Trevor
Chances are, if he'd followed the family tradition Trevor Jarrett would now be driving a coach rather than an unusual sleeper cab-converted Mercedes-Benz Sprinter drawbar combination. Trevor's grandad is an owner-operator coach driver (and former Coach Driver of the Year) but, despite his attempts at conversion, Trevor prefers loads that don't talk back.
He has however followed the family tradition of independence by becoming an owner-operator, beginning with an LDV flatbed plus drawbar trailer then moving up to a small but perfectly proportioned Sprinter, adding a Hatcher glassfibre sleeper-cab conversion.
Why a sleeper? Well, in the past year Trevor has put 120,000 miles on the clock of his modest, 109hp, 311 mini-Merc, tramping all over the country and often out for several nights in a row.
